Nomenclature
Brand
The only correct brand name is: “SIS Swiss International School”. It is internationally registered at the World Intellectual Property Organization. We as a company demand the correct use of the brand name.
At first mention in a text or on a web page, the brand designation is to be written out in full: SIS Swiss International School.
The following is not acceptable: Swiss International School (without SIS).
From the second mention in the same text or on the same web page, only the abbreviation (SIS) can be used.
The correct and complete use of the brand name in newspaper articles, diploma papers, year books, students’ papers, etc. is absolutely necessary and must be insisted on. Due to the high likelihood of confusion with other international schools, the designation “Swiss International School” is never acceptable.
Legal Company Names
The company designations are to be used only in a legal context, especially in contracts and in legally relevant documents.

The location designations are the same in every language. German location designations that are written with mutated vowels (ä, ö, ü) keep the mutated vowels also in English and other languages. Accordingly, Brazilian location designations that are spelled with an accent, keep their accents also in the other languages.
