SIS Logo

The SIS logo is an integral part of our corporate design. It must not be changed, whether in colour, font or proportion. Picture and logotypes form an inseparable union. The SIS logo is to be given priority over all other logos on SIS publications and platforms.

Basic Principles

Inviolability

The SIS logo is to be considered a principal part of our corporate identity and as such an unchangeable entity. It must not be changed, whether in colour, font or proportion.

Union of Picture and Lettering

Picture (square) and logotypes  (“SIS” / “Swiss International School”) form an inseparable union.

In the event that the given printable space is too small (e.g. on a pencil), and with prior approval by the SIS Group, the logo may be used without the logotype “Swiss International School”.

Unconditional Priority

The SIS logo is to be given priority over all other logos on SIS publications and platforms.

With regard to the International Baccalaureate (IB) logo, the IB logo has to be positioned in a less prominent position always (i.e. never above the SIS logo).

The IB logo is to be displayed smaller than the SIS logo (reference point: 75 %).

Binding Character

The SIS logo is at the core of our corporate design and identity. All written communication must carry the SIS logo to create brand recognition and coherence.

Elements

Size

The total size of the SIS logo (picture brands and logotypes) must not fall below a certain minimum size, as specified below:

  • A4 print publications (e.g. emphaSIS): 46mm (width) x 18mm (height)
  • MS Office templates and smaller print publications: 41mm x 16mm
  • other small printable products (e.g. post-its): 19mm x 7mm

The logo can go without logotype 2 (“Swiss International School”) only if the given printable space is too small (e.g. on a pencil), and only after consultation with SIS Group.

Colour

Generally, the SIS logo can be printed on backgrounds of all colours. However, backgrounds that differ visibly in colour from the blue of the SIS logo are to be preferred. If this cannot be avoided, the SIS logo can be printed on a white rectangle. In this case, the white rectangle must match the minimum free space (see “Backgrounds”).

The colour of picture brand 1 (square) is always Pantone 287 C (CMYK 100/68/0/10 – RGB 9/51/136).

The colour of picture brand 2 (stripes) is always transparent.

The colour of logotype 1 (“SIS”) is always white (CMYK 0/0/0/0).

The colour of logotype 2 (“Swiss International School”) is always Pantone 287 C (CMYK 100/68/0/10 – RGB 9/51/136).

There are no negative realisations of the logo (e.g. white picture brand 1 with blue logotype 1 and white logotype 2 on a blue background).

Backgrounds

A free space must be maintained around the SIS logo (picture and logotypes), which is applicable in relation to contents (texts, illustrations, pictures) and margins.

The free space corresponds to at least a quarter of the length of the square (picture brand 1).

If dark backgrounds cannot be avoided, the SIS logo can be printed on a white rectangle. In this case, the white rectangle must match the minimum size of the free space.

Font

The font used for logotype 1 is Eurostile Bold Condensed.

The font used for logotype 2 is Eurostile Medium.

Positioning

Generally, the SIS logo is positioned bottom left on all SIS print products. On MS Office templates, it stands top right. Positioning remains the same for portrait and landscape format. Below, positioning is clarified for the different fields of application.
